A 13g USB-C recorder that plugs straight into a phone, so the recording you just made is on your screen without a computer, a cable or an app in between.
Three quality settings trade runtime against fidelity: 288 hours of capacity at 64kbps, 144 at 128kbps, or 24 hours of uncompressed PCM at 705kbps. It runs 26 hours continuously, or up to 20 days waiting on sound with five levels of trigger sensitivity.
Yes. Switch to continuous mode for up to 26 hours per charge.
Plug the recorder into a USB-C device to open and play WAV/PCM files directly.
Choose HQ (64kbps), XHQ (128kbps), or PCM for higher fidelity with larger files.
You can disable indicators for no-light operation when discretion is required.
Yes. The magnetic cap allows quick attachment to metal surfaces for hidden placement.
Recording a conversation you are taking part in is generally lawful in New Zealand. That covers the ordinary reasons for buying a recorder: your own meetings, your own interviews, a call you are on, dictation, and keeping a record of something that was said to you. Telling the other people is good practice, and it is what makes a recording useful later rather than contentious.
The limit is conversations you are not part of. Recording or listening to a private communication you are not a party to is interception under section 216B of the Crimes Act 1961, and it is an offence. If you record for a business or at work, the Privacy Act 2020 applies as well. Do not use this to record other people's private conversations. This is general information, not legal advice.
