Description

A camera and an alarm in one unit, running on a 5W solar panel with a 5 metre cable so the panel can sit in the sun while the camera sits where the view is. Full colour night vision and infrared both reach 30m, 355 degrees of pan covers the site, and a siren with flashing LEDs triggers from your phone.

Applications

Real-World Scenarios

Plant Left Standing Overnight

Machinery and materials sit unattended once the crew leaves. This one installs in minutes with no electrician, the solar panel charges through the day, and 355 degrees of rotation scans the whole site. When motion trips it, two way audio lets you challenge someone from your phone.

Fences And Stock Across A Block

You cannot watch every acre, and the places that get cut are never the ones you are looking at. The 5 metre solar cable lets you mount the camera where the view is and the panel where the sun is, and remote PTZ scans the property from one position.

Loading Docks After Hours

Damage shows up on the truck in the morning and nobody can say when it happened. Full colour night vision records in the dark rather than guessing at shapes, and cloud backup means the footage survives even if the camera itself is interfered with.

How it Works

The camera connects to WiFi networks (2.4GHz only). Solar panel charges the internal battery during daylight. Live video streams to the free smartphone app (iOS and Android). Footage saves to cloud storage or onboard SD card. No monthly fees for the first year.

Not sure the signal reaches where the camera goes? The WiFi Security Camera Buying Guide covers 2.4GHz range, what walls do to it and what to do when it does not reach.
No usable WiFi at the camera end at all? A 4G security camera carries its own SIM and needs nothing from the house.
The stated WiFi range is 15 metres. If the camera sits further from the house than that, an outdoor WiFi booster with its own solar panel closes the gap.
