1. Does this camera work without WiFi?

No. It needs a 2.4GHz WiFi network at the camera for setup, live view and alerts. It has no 4G capability and takes no SIM card. If there is no WiFi where you want to mount it, look at a 4G camera instead.

2. Does it run on solar or battery?

No. It is mains powered and runs continuously from the supplied DC 12V adapter. That is what allows 24/7 recording rather than motion triggered clips.

3. Is the microSD card included?

No. Buy one separately. The camera takes cards up to 128GB.

4. Does it work with 5GHz WiFi?

No. 2.4GHz networks only. Most routers broadcast both, so check which band you are joining during setup.

5. How far can it actually see?

Laser infrared reaches up to 300m in black and white. Full colour night vision using the white LEDs works to about 50m. In daylight the 40x optical zoom is what brings distant detail close, and because it is optical rather than digital the picture stays sharp.

6. Are there monthly fees?

No. Recording to a microSD card needs no subscription. Cloud storage is optional if you want it.
