Eight infrared LEDs cover 30 metres, white LEDs give full colour at night and can be switched off, and red and blue alarm lights plus a siren fire on motion or on command. A fast thermal PIR sensor detects to 7 metres across 120 degrees. A 4G SIM from Spark, One NZ or 2degrees connects it, storage is a microSD card up to 128GB or the cloud, and the IP66 unit is 250 by 120 by 90mm at 2.9kg.

Mount the camera and the panels: The two 300 by 300mm panels are the reason for the three month standby. The 5m extension cable lets them go out to the sun rather than sit in shade with the camera.
Insert a data SIM: 4G on bands B1 to B40 brings it online. Several users can be given access to the same camera through the app.
Set what a trigger does: The PIR can start recording quietly on infrared, or bring on the white floodlights, the red and blue alarm lights and the siren at the same time.
