5. Where is the footage stored?
On the TF card inside the unit, under your control. Nothing leaves the camera unless you download a clip to your phone or enable the optional cloud path. For survey work where data custody matters, the card can be pulled at end of season and archived with the project records.
6. Can I swap the entry hole size mid-season?
The facade panel is held by external screws and can be swapped, but doing so during active nesting is not recommended. Choose the size before installation based on the species you want to attract, and let the box stay closed once eggs are laid.
7. Does the camera have a spotlight, and will it scare the birds?
The unit includes an optional spotlight that stays off by default. Routine night recording uses invisible infrared instead. The spotlight is only triggered manually through the app, useful as a predator deterrent if you spot a possum or rat near the cavity, and never used as a primary lighting source.
