Two 10W panels, 20W in total, and a 20,000mAh battery put this camera where mains power is not going to reach. A 3MP wide lens holds the scene while a 3MP PTZ lens pans 355 degrees and tracks what the PIR picks up, with laser infrared or a colour floodlight after dark. Recording is continuous or motion triggered, your choice.

Features

24/7 Continuous Recording on Solar: Two 10W panels generate 20W in total. The 20,000mAh battery carries recording through the night. In winter, when daylight drops below eight hours, the camera automatically falls back to motion-triggered recording to conserve power. In standard New Zealand conditions, continuous recording runs indefinitely.
36X Hybrid Zoom: Optical and digital combined. Reads a plate across a car park in good light. At 36X, image quality degrades compared to optical-only zoom, so the useful identification range depends on lighting conditions and target size. At distance, a zoomed 3MP lens reading a plate at 36X gives you a more usable identification frame than a fixed 4K wide-angle where the target is 20 pixels across the image. The zoom is controlled live from the app.
AI Auto-Tracking: When the PIR sensor detects a person, the camera highlights them with a green border and pans to follow their movement across the frame. It does not zoom in automatically. You control the 36X zoom manually while the camera tracks. We tested this in the app: the tracking is responsive but relies on clear line of sight.
6MP Dual Lens: Top lens: 3MP wide-angle overview of the full area. Bottom lens: 3MP PTZ for zoomed detail. Both feeds display simultaneously in the app. You see the scene and the close-up from one camera position without switching views.
Laser Night Vision: Laser-assisted IR extends clear footage further than standard infrared LEDs. Colour floodlight mode switches on for full-colour identification but makes the camera visible. In covert monitoring situations, stay on IR mode, which produces a faint red glow visible only at close range.
Red and Blue Alarm Lights: Triggered by human detection. The police-style strobe activates before the person reaches the camera. Visible from across a yard. Effective as a deterrent on commercial sites; less suitable where you want covert monitoring.
355° Pan, 90° Tilt With Guard Tour: Set up to 8 preset positions. The camera cycles between them on a timed patrol. Full rotation from the app. Covers an entire perimeter from one mount, though at any given moment the lens points in one direction only.
Two-Way Audio: Built-in microphone and speaker. Audio is clear at conversational distance but drops off past 5 to 8 metres depending on wind and ambient noise. Useful for challenging trespassers or giving instructions to staff at the camera location.
Local + Cloud Storage: Records to a TF card up to 128GB (sold separately). Optional cloud backup available through the app. If someone physically removes the camera, the cloud copy survives. Without a TF card inserted, the camera streams live but does not record locally. No mandatory subscription fees for local 24/7 recording. The TF card handles it. Cloud backup is optional.

At night, laser IR extends usable range past what you get from a basic IR camera, but performance drops in heavy rain or fog. AI tracking highlights anyone moving through the frame with a green border and pans to follow them. Every second is on the timeline. No motion gaps.

Industrial and Agricultural Sites With WiFi

Processing facilities, equipment yards, and agricultural compounds where WiFi infrastructure reaches the perimeter. The camera needs line-of-sight to a 2.4GHz router or a point-to-point bridge. It does not support 5GHz networks. Mount it at the compound entry or access gate. The 5-metre extension cord lets you position the solar panels in direct sunlight while the camera sits under cover. For sites without WiFi coverage at the camera point, the 4G version of this camera uses a SIM card instead.

How it Works

Mount: Fix the bracket to a wall, pole, or fascia. The camera head weighs approximately 3kg. Two-person job above 3 metres. Position the dual solar panels facing north (in New Zealand) at 30 to 35 degrees for optimal year-round charging. The 5-metre extension cord allows the panels to sit in sunlight while the camera mounts under an overhang or eave.
Connect: Pair the camera to your 2.4GHz WiFi network through the app. It does not support 5GHz. Range depends on your router and obstacles between it and the camera. If the signal is weak at the mount point, a WiFi extender or mesh node will be needed. No SIM card required.
Monitor: Live view on iOS or Android. Quad split, single camera full-screen, PTZ joystick, 36X zoom slider, two-way audio, and guard tour setup. Push alerts fire on human detection. The 24/7 timeline lets you scrub to any moment, not just flagged events.

In prolonged heavy cloud or winter conditions with short daylight, the camera automatically switches to motion-triggered recording to conserve power.

3. How far can the 36X zoom see?

The 36X hybrid zoom combines optical and digital magnification. At full zoom, it pulls enough detail to identify a face or read a standard plate across a car park or yard. Exact identification range depends on lighting, weather, and target size, daylight gives the clearest results at distance.

4. Does the AI tracking zoom in automatically?

No. The AI tracking highlights the person with a green border and follows their movement by panning the camera. It does not automatically zoom in, you control the 36X zoom manually from the app while the camera tracks.

5. What WiFi range does it need?

The camera connects to a standard 2.4GHz WiFi network. Range depends on your router and any obstacles between the router and camera. For installations far from the router, a WiFi extender or mesh network may be required.

6. Can I position the solar panels away from the camera?

Yes. The included extension cord allows the solar panels to be mounted up to 5 metres from the camera. This means you can position the camera in a shaded or sheltered spot while the panels sit in direct sunlight.
