Solar is what makes a camera possible where power is not. A 20W panel and a rechargeable battery pack in the mount keep this one running on its own, so the only things the site has to supply are WiFi coverage and daylight. Pan and tilt cover a whole yard from a single mounting point, a PIR sensor works alongside human AI detection to cut false alerts, and footage saves both to a memory card on site and to the cloud.

1. Does it need to be in full sun?

The 20W panel should face the best sun the site gets. In shaded or heavily overcast positions through a southern winter you may need to top the battery up over USB occasionally.

2. Does this camera need WiFi?

Yes. It connects over 2.4GHz WiFi for setup, live view and alerts. It does not take a SIM, so a site with no internet needs a 4G camera instead.

3. Is a memory card included?

No. The camera records to a memory card you supply, and also supports cloud storage. Local recording has no ongoing cost.

4. How far does it detect and light up?

The detection angle is 120 degrees out to about 12m. The white flood LEDs and the infrared LEDs both reach about 30m, which is further than the sensor triggers.

5. Can more than one person view it?
