Description
Two PIR sensors rather than one, arranged to cover a full circle, is the reason this camera is worth putting on a corner. Most solar cameras only detect in the direction the lens happens to be pointing; the VIM-4GSOL17 notices something behind it and turns the PTZ head to look.
Twin 1080p sensors record through 3.6mm lenses on a head that pans 355 degrees and tilts 100. Two white LED floodlights reach 40 metres for colour at night, 840nm infrared covers the same distance, and the microphone picks up to 20 metres with two way audio back. AI human detection works with the PIR sensors out to 12 metres on people and animals. An adjustable 9 Watt panel charges six 18650 cells, a 4G SIM carries the picture, and storage is a microSD card up to 128GB or the cloud. The IP66 housing weighs 2.1kg.
