Description

A block you visit once a fortnight is a block you know nothing about for thirteen days. This 4G solar trail camera closes that gap: 2K clips and live view arrive on your phone wherever there is mobile coverage, with no WiFi and no power lead.

The PIR fires in 0.2 seconds out to 12m, and on board AI separates people from animals so the alerts that reach you are the ones worth reading. 940nm infrared covers 25m at night with no visible glow, and a 6W panel keeps the 7,800mAh pack charged.

Features

See Live From Anywhere: 4G cellular connection streams 2K video to your phone without WiFi
Know Who's There, Not Just What: AI distinguishes humans from animals, reducing false alerts
Months Without Maintenance: Solar panel charges 7800mAh battery for continuous operation
Catch Every Movement: 0.2-second trigger speed captures fast wildlife or intruders
24/7 Night Monitoring: 940nm infrared sees up to 25m in complete darkness
Weatherproof Protection: IP66 rated against dust and heavy rain (-30°C to 60°C operation)
Store Footage Your Way: Cloud storage or 128GB SD card (not included) for local backup

Applications

Where It Works

Farm & Property Security

Your farm gates are open overnight. Livestock gets out. Equipment disappears.

Place this camera at entrance points. 4G connectivity sends live alerts when gates open. AI human detection tells you if it's a person or just wildlife. Solar power means no cables to run across paddocks.

Remote Construction Site Monitoring

Your construction site sits empty for weeks. Materials walk off. Vandals damage equipment.

Mount the camera on a tree or pole. 2K video captures faces and vehicle plates. Night vision records after-dark activity. Weatherproof housing withstands rain, dust, and temperature swings.

Wildlife Observation

You want to monitor nocturnal animals without disturbing them. Flash scares them away.

940nm infrared gives off no visible glow, so wildlife is far less likely to notice it. 0.2-second trigger catches fast-moving animals. Solar power lets you place it deep in the bush without battery changes for months.

How it Works

The camera connects to 4G cellular (works on Spark, One NZ or 2degrees networks). Solar panel charges the internal 7800mAh battery during daylight. When the PIR sensor detects motion, it records 2K video and streams live to your phone via the free app. Footage saves to cloud or SD card. AI filters out animal movement, sending alerts only for humans.

Specifications

Power: 5V, 2A maximum. Use the adapter supplied, or a standard 5V USB charger or power bank rated 2A or less. Do not use fast chargers (USB-C PD, Quick Charge, Super Fast Charging) or high-output power banks: they can damage the device.

Solar panel charges the battery during daylight for continuous operation. Exact runtime depends on usage and sunlight.

3. Can I view live video on my phone?

Yes. Free app for iOS and Android shows live stream and recorded footage.

4. Will it record animals?

Is it legal to use this camera on my property in New Zealand?

Monitoring land you own or manage is generally lawful, and that covers the ordinary reasons for putting a camera out: wildlife, stock, gates, tracks, sheds and equipment. Keep the camera pointed at what you are actually watching.

Audio is treated differently from video. Recording a conversation you are taking part in is generally lawful in New Zealand, but recording a private conversation you are not part of is interception under section 216B of the Crimes Act 1961. This camera has a microphone, so if it will sit unattended somewhere people talk, turn the audio off and record video only.

The limits are about other people. If the camera also covers a neighbour's land, a road or a public track, keep the view to what you need and the footage secure: a business or farm recording people must follow the Privacy Act 2020, and even a householder can breach it if a recording is highly offensive. Never place a camera anywhere a person would reasonably expect privacy: making an intimate visual recording is a criminal offence under the Crimes Act 1961. This is general information, not legal advice.
