1. Does this work without WiFi?
Yes. Runs on the 4G cellular network – just insert a SIM card. No WiFi router, no internet connection, no wiring required.
2. What SIM card does it need?
Any standard 4G SIM card. Works with Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, and MVNOs like Aldi Mobile, Belong, and Woolworths Mobile. SIM card is not included – purchase separately with a data plan.
3. How long does the battery last without sun?
The solar panel charges the battery during daylight. In full sun, the battery stays topped up indefinitely. During extended overcast periods or short winter days, the built-in battery keeps it running. Exact duration depends on recording activity – motion-triggered recording lasts significantly longer than continuous live view.
4. Can I view the camera live from anywhere?
Yes. Live view through the free smartphone app on iOS and Android from anywhere with mobile signal. Pan, tilt, and zoom the camera remotely in real time.
5. Will it alert me when someone is on my property?
Yes. The PIR sensor combined with AI human detection sends push notifications to your phone when a person is detected. Animal movement is filtered out to reduce false alerts.
6. Is the night vision visible?
The camera has two night vision modes. Colour night vision uses white LEDs – visible but produces full-colour footage. IR night vision uses 850nm LEDs, which produce a faint red glow visible at close range in complete darkness. This is not an invisible/no-glow camera. For covert night monitoring, use IR mode – the glow is faint but detectable if someone looks directly at the camera.
