Description

This is a solar powered 4G security camera in a camouflage housing, not a motion triggered trail camera. It pans 355 degrees, tilts 100 degrees and streams Full HD 1080p continuously over its own SIM, so you drive the view from the app rather than waiting for something to walk past a fixed lens.

A 6W panel charges three 18650 cells, roughly 12,000mAh, and the camera drops to ultra low power between events. Infrared reaches 20m, a white floodlight covers the same distance for colour footage, and there is two way audio and a siren.

Features

Solar-powered 24/7 operation: Integrated solar panel, rechargeable battery and ultra-low power standby keep the camera running continuously without mains power.
Full HD video and night vision: 1920x1080P recording, full-colour LED night vision, floodlight and automatic infrared night vision provide clear footage day and night.
4G remote monitoring: 4G SIM card connection with P2P support lets you view live video, receive alerts and manage settings from iPhone, iPad or Android devices.
Smart detection and alerts: AI human detection, smart PIR thermal and motion sensing, and 24/7 push notifications help focus on real activity and notify you quickly.
Outdoor-ready PTZ coverage: Pan-tilt-zoom lens rotation, IP65 water resistance and flexible solar panel mounting cover large outdoor areas in changing weather.
Extended night coverage: Motion detection up to 12 m, infrared LEDs and a white floodlight with around 20 m range help capture activity after dark.
Fast wake-up and large storage: A 0.2 second wake-up time and support for microSD cards up to 128GB help the camera record quickly and retain more footage.

Applications

How This Camera Is Used

This 4G solar trail camera suits gardens, driveways, farms, remote properties and business sites where cabling is difficult but you still need continuous Full HD monitoring and instant alerts. Mount the camera with the included solar panel, insert a SIM card and memory card, then use the mobile app to adjust PTZ angles, review footage, share access with other users and talk through the built-in microphone and speaker.

How it Works

Mount and power: Fix the camera to a post, tree or wall and angle the 6W solar panel at the sun. There is no mains lead and no cabling to trench.
Insert a SIM: Fit any New Zealand data SIM. The camera joins the 4G network on bands B1 to B40 and pairs to the app over P2P, so no router and no broadband are involved.
Watch and steer: Pan, tilt and zoom from your phone, take AI human detection alerts, talk through the speaker, and record to a microSD card or the cloud.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this camera need mains power or WiFi to work?

No. The camera runs from the solar panel and rechargeable battery and uses a 4G SIM card for connectivity, so it can operate where there is mobile coverage but no wired power or WiFi.

How does the camera record at night?

It uses full-colour LED night vision, a white light floodlight and automatic infrared night vision so you can see what is happening in low light and complete darkness.

Can I control the PTZ movement remotely?

Yes. You can adjust the pan, tilt and zoom angles from the mobile app to check different areas around the camera.

What storage options are available?

You can record to a local memory card and also enable cloud storage in the app if you want off-site backups of important footage.

Who can view the live feed?

The system supports multi-user view, so you can share access with family members or colleagues while still managing alerts and settings from your own account.

Is it legal to use this camera on my property in New Zealand?

Monitoring land you own or manage is generally lawful, and that covers the ordinary reasons for putting a camera out: wildlife, stock, gates, tracks, sheds and equipment. Keep the camera pointed at what you are actually watching.

Audio is treated differently from video. Recording a conversation you are taking part in is generally lawful in New Zealand, but recording a private conversation you are not part of is interception under section 216B of the Crimes Act 1961. This camera has a microphone, so if it will sit unattended somewhere people talk, turn the audio off and record video only.

The limits are about other people. If the camera also covers a neighbour's land, a road or a public track, keep the view to what you need and the footage secure: a business or farm recording people must follow the Privacy Act 2020, and even a householder can breach it if a recording is highly offensive. Never place a camera anywhere a person would reasonably expect privacy: making an intimate visual recording is a criminal offence under the Crimes Act 1961. This is general information, not legal advice.
