It is a working temperature and humidity desk clock with a camera in it. The app streams a 4K live view and the card records 1080p, no-glow infrared reaches about 8 metres in the dark, and the 150 degree lens covers a whole room. An 8000mAh cell gives 6 to 8 hours away from power and it records while charging, so on USB-C it runs around the clock. Storage is a local microSD card up to 256GB with no subscription attached.

Does it record without WiFi?

Yes. Recording runs to the local microSD card whether or not WiFi is connected, in loop or scheduled mode. WiFi is only needed for live view, alerts and two-way audio. Saved footage is 1080p on a card up to 256GB.

How far does the night vision reach?

No-glow infrared covers up to 8 metres in complete darkness. It uses a wavelength your eye cannot see, so the camera keeps recording without putting a red light into the room.

Is a subscription required?

No. All the recording happens on your own microSD card, so the camera works fully on a one-off purchase. There is an optional cloud plan in the app if you want an off-site copy, but nothing needs it.

Is the 4K figure the recording quality?
