The VIM-BLUEWIFI10 is a Bluetooth speaker and alarm clock with a camera in it, and the reason to pick it over the other speakers in the range is the 5GHz band. On a house full of devices, that is what keeps a 4K live view watchable.

It streams Ultra HD 3840 x 2160p to the app and records Full HD 1080p to a microSD card up to 128GB. A 120 degree lens covers a room, 940nm infrared reaches about 5 to 8 metres in the dark, and two-way audio lets you listen and speak. Left plugged in it runs 24/7; the rechargeable cell covers short cordless spells.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it record in 4K?

No. The live view streams at 3840 x 2160p and saved files are Full HD 1080p. That keeps playback smooth and the card going much longer.

How much storage can I use?

microSD up to 128GB, with loop recording that overwrites the oldest clips when the card is full.

Will it work on my WiFi?

Yes, on either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Choose 5GHz where the network is busy and 2.4GHz where you need range.

How long does the battery last?

The supplier does not publish a runtime for this model, and the older data sheet gives the capacity as 2000mAh. Treat the cell as short term and keep it plugged in for continuous recording.

Can I use this to check on my children at home?

Yes. Your own home and your own children is the ordinary use for a camera like this, and nothing stops a parent watching their own house. Where the law does apply is to the adults in it: if a nanny, a cleaner or a carer works in your home, tell them the camera is there and where it points.
