Description

The TISSUEIPCAM is a working tissue box with a WiFi camera in the same housing, made for a shelf or a side table indoors. It records while charging and runs around the clock on the supplied power adapter, which is what separates it from the battery only boxes.

It records 1080p or 720p at 30fps as AVI through a 90 degree lens, with audio, to a microSD card up to 32GB. It joins your WiFi for live view on iPhone or Android in the free app, and motion detection starts a recording and pushes an alert. The wireless range is under 30m depending on the room and the router. The internal lithium ion cell charges in about 4 hours and gives roughly 2 hours of continuous recording on its own.

Features

Runs continuously on mains: With the supplied adapter it records around the clock, and it keeps recording while charging rather than stopping to top up.
Choose 1080p or 720p: Full HD for detail or 720p for smaller files, both at 30fps and saved as AVI.
Motion alerts: Recording starts when movement is detected and a push notification goes to the phone.
Remote live view: WiFi and the free app on iPhone or Android give live streaming and settings.
Video and audio: Sound is recorded alongside the picture for a fuller record of what happened.
Cordless when you need it: The internal lithium ion cell gives about 2 hours of continuous recording away from power, charging in about 4 hours.
90 degree lens: Covers a normal room from a shelf or a side table, at the height of the rest of the furniture rather than from a ceiling.

Applications

Real-World Scenarios

A lounge or a hallway in your own home

A tissue box on a side table gives a level view of the room and the front door, and mains power means it does not stop after a couple of hours.

A reception or a waiting area you run

On premises you manage a tissue box on the counter is an ordinary courtesy that also records the area continuously. Put up a notice so people know.

A holiday house between stays

Left plugged in at your own bach it records on motion and streams to your phone for as long as the power stays on.

How it Works

Fit a card and choose your power: Slide in a microSD card up to 32GB, then either charge the internal cell or leave the supplied adapter connected for continuous recording.
Set it down in your own space: Put it on a shelf, a side table or a counter inside premises you own or manage, with the 90 degree lens facing the area you want covered.
Connect and arm it: Join it to your WiFi in the app on iPhone or Android, keeping it within about 30m of the router, switch on motion recording and alerts, and check live view when you want to.

Specifications

Frequently Asked Questions

Can it record while charging?

Yes, and that is the point of it. Left on the supplied adapter it records around the clock without ever stopping to top up.

What storage does it use?

A microSD card up to 32GB. Choose 720p rather than 1080p if you want more hours on the same card.

How far will the WiFi reach?

Under 30m, and that figure drops with walls and floors in the way. Keep it in the same part of the building as the router.

What video resolutions can I choose?

1080p or 720p, both at 30fps, saved as AVI. 1080p gives more detail and 720p gives smaller files.

What can I lawfully record with a camera like this in New Zealand?

You can record a space you own or control for your own security: your own home, a lounge, a hallway, a reception area or a holiday house you own. The Privacy Act 2020 expects people who are recorded to be told, so put up a notice and tell staff, guests and visitors. Never place it in a bathroom, a changing area or a bedroom that is not yours, because intimate visual recording is an offence under the Crimes Act 1961. Audio is treated more strictly than video, so leave it off unless you need it. This is general information rather than legal advice.
