On a single lens the front records 4K UHD. Switch on all three channels and the front records 2K while the cabin pair record 1080p each, the trade for filming three angles at once. 2K still reads a plate in front of you.

4. How do I get the footage off it?

Open the free app (iOS and Android) over the short-range link at the vehicle to play back and save clips to your phone, or take the microSD card to a computer. There is no remote or cloud viewing, and no monthly fee.

5. Is it legal to film passengers in New Zealand?

Filming inside a vehicle you own or operate is generally allowed, but recording audio in the cabin falls under the interception and listening-device provisions of the Crimes Act 1961, which apply throughout New Zealand. A visible recording notice is sensible for rideshare and taxi work. Check what applies to your situation before you record.
