Important to understand: This is a Bluetooth tracker that uses crowd-sourced location, not a cellular device with real-time GPS. It works best in populated areas where there are plenty of passing phones to relay location. In rural or isolated areas, location updates may be delayed. It will not give you live, second-by-second tracking like a cellular pet tracker – but it also will not charge you $15/month for the privilege.

Will it survive my dog swimming or playing in the rain?

Within Bluetooth range (up to 120 metres in open space), the app can ring the tag and point you in the right direction. Beyond that range, accuracy depends on how many nearby phones are in the area. In suburban streets and parks, you will typically get location updates within a few minutes. In remote bushland with no one around, updates may take longer.
Is this better than a GPS pet tracker like Tractive?
