Description

Two Bluetooth tracker tags and two breathable woven nylon sport loops, ready to wear out of the box. Each tag pairs with Apple Find My on iPhone or Google Find Hub on Android, so a household running both platforms only needs one type of tag. Ring the tag from your phone when it is close by, get a separation alert when it drops out of your phone's range, and check the map for the last place the finding network saw it. No SIM card and no subscription. This is a Bluetooth item tracker rather than a GPS device, and it is not a personal safety product.

Features

Works with Apple and Google: One tag pairs with Apple Find My on iPhone and Google Find Hub on Android, so a mixed household only needs one type of tag.
No subscription: The tag rides on the free Apple and Google finding networks. No SIM card, no data plan and no monthly fee.
Breathable nylon loop: Soft woven nylon with a hook and loop closure sits flat and adjusts from a child's wrist to an adult's.
IP67 rated: Sealed against dust and water immersion, so sweat, rain and mud are not a problem.
Ring and vibrate: Trigger an audible tone and a vibration from your phone to locate the tag when a beep alone would be lost in background noise.
Separation alert: Your phone warns you when the tag drops out of its Bluetooth range, so a loop left in a kit bag does not travel home without you.
A year on a coin cell: A replaceable CR2032 runs for up to a year. The app tells you when to change it and a screwdriver is in the box.

Applications

Real-World Scenarios

Kit Bags at Training

The kit bag on the sideline is the thing that actually goes missing. Clip a tag to it and your phone warns you when it drops out of range, then rings the tag once you are back within about 120 metres.

Gear at a Festival or a Campsite

Tents, chilly bins and packs all look alike by the second day. A tag on yours rings on command inside Bluetooth range, and a crowded venue has plenty of phones on the network to report a recent position if the gear moves.

One Tag Type for a Mixed Household

Register one tag to Apple Find My and the other to Google Find Hub. Everyone keeps the phone they already own and adds their own tag in their own app.

How it Works

Add: Open Apple Find My on iPhone or Google Find Hub on Android and add each tag. It takes about 30 seconds.
Attach: Snap the tag into the nylon sport loop and adjust the hook and loop closure, or clip it to a bag with the lanyard.
Find: Ring the tag from the app while you are within Bluetooth range of about 120 metres. Beyond that, the map shows the last position another phone on the same network reported, with the time it was seen.

What this cannot do: the tag has no GPS chip and no SIM card, so it never reports its own position. It is found only when your phone is close enough to hear it, or when somebody else's phone running Apple Find My or Google Find Hub passes within Bluetooth range and relays an encrypted update. On an empty trail or a quiet back road, nothing is reported at all.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this to keep track of a person?

No. This is a Bluetooth item tracker with no GPS and no SIM card, so it cannot report a location on its own and it is not a safety device. It only tells you whether the tag is within about 120 metres of your phone, and where another phone on the network last saw it. For live location of a person, use a 4G tracker with a SIM card from our personal GPS tracker range.

How far away does it work?

Bluetooth range is up to about 120 metres in open space, and less through walls and bodies. Past that you are relying on the crowd-sourced network: a busy venue may update the map every few minutes, while an empty area may not update it at all.

Is the sport loop comfortable enough for all-day wear?

Yes. The woven nylon is soft and breathable with no hard edges, and the hook and loop closure adjusts from a child's wrist to an adult's. The tag itself is 7 grams.

Can I use one tag with an iPhone and the other with an Android phone?

Yes. Each tag works independently with either Apple Find My or Google Find Hub, so one can sit on each platform in the same household. A single tag is registered to one account at a time rather than to both at once.

Will it survive sweat and rain during sport?

Yes. The tags are IP67, which covers dust and water immersion to 1 metre, so sweat, rain and mud are all fine. The nylon loop can be rinsed and air dried.
