Description

Clear lens office glasses with a 1080p camera in the frame, operated by a single button on the temple arm. They weigh 40g, so they wear like ordinary glasses, and the camera records what is in front of you without anything to hold or aim.

Recording is 1920 x 1080 with audio and a date and time stamp, stills are 12 megapixels, and the 280mAh battery gives about 120 minutes of video. A microSD card up to 32GB holds roughly six hours of footage.

Features

One button: a single control on the temple arm starts and stops video and takes stills. Nothing to set up first.
1080p with audio: 1920 x 1080 video with sound and a date and time stamp on every file.
12 megapixel stills: photographs at full resolution alongside video.
About 120 minutes: a 280mAh rechargeable battery gives roughly two hours of video with audio.
32GB storage: a microSD card up to 32GB holds around six hours of footage.
70 degree view: close to what you are actually looking at, so what you see is roughly what is recorded.
40g: light enough to wear for a full meeting without noticing them.

Applications

Real-World Scenarios

Your Own Meetings And Site Inspections

A record of a meeting you are sitting in or an inspection you are carrying out, made hands free while you take notes or handle equipment. You are present and part of the conversation, which is what makes this the straightforward use.

Working Alone

Callouts, site visits and after hours work where a dated record of what happened is worth having. Both hands stay free for the job.

Condition Records On Your Own Property

Walking a property you own or manage and recording its condition on the day, without stopping to hold a phone up at every point.

How it Works

Charge and load: charge the 280mAh battery over USB and fit a microSD card up to 32GB.
Wear them: put them on as you would any glasses. The lens sits in the frame front, giving a 70 degree view close to your own.
Record: press the button on the temple arm to start and stop. Connect over USB to copy the files off afterwards.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I legally record with glasses I am wearing?

Two situations are straightforward. You can record what is in front of you in a public place, and you can record a conversation you are taking part in: the Crimes Act 1961 offence is intercepting a private conversation you are not a party to, not one you are in. That covers your own meetings, your own inspections and your own safety while working alone, which is what this is sold for. The limits are firm. If you are recording as a business you have Privacy Act 2020 obligations to tell people and to look after the footage properly. Bathrooms and changing areas are off limits and intimate visual recording is a criminal offence. Leaving it running in a space that is not yours to control is not a use we support. This is general information, not legal advice.

How long do they record?

About 120 minutes of video with audio from the 280mAh battery. A 32GB card holds roughly six hours, so the battery is the limit rather than the storage.

How do I start recording?

One button on the temple arm. Press it to start video, press again to stop, and it also takes stills. There is nothing to set up first.

What do they actually see?

70 degrees, which is close to your own field of attention, so what is recorded is roughly what you were looking at.

Do they record sound?

Yes. Audio is regulated more strictly than video in New Zealand, so keep it to conversations you are part of.

How do I get the files off?

Connect over USB and copy them from the microSD card. No software is needed.
