Description

Two solar panels rather than one, feeding a 20000mAh pack, is what lets this pair of cameras record continuously instead of waiting for a trigger. The manufacturer rates standby at up to two months.

A 3MP HD CMOS sensor records 2048x1536 at 30fps. A 2.8mm ultra wide lens sits above a 4.9 to 47mm motorised PTZ lens that pans 355 degrees and tilts 90, with 20X combined zoom across optical and digital. Ten combined infrared and white LEDs, plus two laser LEDs, give infrared to 50 metres and full colour to 30. PIR detection covers people and animals across 120 degrees out to 12 metres. A 4G SIM from Spark, One NZ or 2degrees connects it, storage is a microSD card up to 128GB or the cloud, and the IP66 body is 140 by 130 by 130mm at 2.4kg.

Features

Ultra HD 2K video quality: Dual 2K lenses capture detailed footage so faces, licence plates and activity remain clear when you zoom in or review recordings.
Dual cameras with 360° coverage: A dual-lens layout with a bottom PTZ lens and top ultra-wide lens delivers a 360-degree perspective to remove blind spots around your property.
Solar-powered 24/7 operation: Two solar panels, 20W solar panel charging, low power consumption and rechargeable 20000mAh batteries keep the system running for continuous 24/7 recording.
Intelligent tracking and PIR detection: AI auto tracking focuses on human movement when the battery is above 20% while a fast PIR thermal and motion sensor reacts quickly to people, vehicles and other heat sources.
4G remote access and instant alerts: A 4G SIM card connection with live P2P viewing on iPhone, iPad and Android sends fast pop-up notifications and allows you to watch live or play back footage from anywhere.
Flexible solar and mounting options: Two solar installation methods (integrated or extended), a 5m solar cable and wall or ceiling mounting make it easy to position both camera and panels for the best coverage and sunlight.
Long backup on battery: Up to 2 months standby time lets the system ride through poor weather or reduced sunlight without losing coverage.
Built-in siren alerts: An integrated siren can sound alongside lights and notifications, adding an audible deterrent when alarms trigger.

Applications

Real-World Scenarios

Farms and remote sheds

A shed at the far end of a property has neither power nor broadband. Two panels and a 4G SIM make it self sufficient, and the wide lens covers the yard while the zoom lens watches the door.

Building sites

A compound changes shape every week. Preset points let you re aim the zoom lens from the phone rather than climbing back up to the mount.

Driveways and machinery yards

The ultra wide lens holds the whole approach while the motorised lens pulls in a number plate or a face, so one mounting point does the work of two cameras.

How it Works

Mount both panels: Two 265 by 170mm panels are what pay for continuous recording. The supplied extension cord lets you site them clear of shade rather than beside the camera.
Insert a data SIM: 4G on bands B1 to B40 with a SIM from Spark, One NZ or 2degrees. Live P2P view reaches iPhone, iPad and Android with nothing else on site.
Set presets and recording mode: Save preset points so the PTZ lens covers the areas that matter, then choose motion triggered or 24/7 continuous recording to the card or the cloud.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need WiFi for the Vimel VIM-4GSOL21-20X to work?

No, this system uses a 4G SIM card connection so it can operate completely off-grid without WiFi, as long as there is compatible 4G coverage at the installation site.

Can the camera really record 24/7 using solar power?

Yes, the dual solar panels, low power consumption hardware and high-capacity 20000mAh rechargeable batteries are designed to support continuous 24/7 recording when the panels receive adequate sunlight.

How is video stored on this camera?

The camera supports both cloud storage and local memory card recording, so you can keep clips off-site in the cloud, on a memory card in the camera, or use a mix of both.

What happens at night or in very low light?

The system combines super laser night vision, infrared night vision support and full-colour LED floodlights so you can capture clear footage in complete darkness or low-light environments.

Can more than one person monitor the live video?

Yes, multi-user view support allows authorised family members, colleagues or security staff to access the live feed from their own devices.
