Description

The VIM-POLICECAM13 is the one you put on a dock rather than plug in. Set it down at the end of a shift and the magnetic charger does the rest, so it is ready for the next round without anyone remembering a cable.

It records 4K at 30fps through a 140 degree lens onto 128GB of internal memory, with 36 megapixel stills, six IR LEDs for about 10 metres of night vision, and red and blue alarm LEDs on the body. Every file carries a date, time and User ID stamp. The 3000mAh battery runs about 10 hours, and the housing is IP65 rated and drop tested at 2 metres.

Features

Records in total darkness: Six IR LEDs give clear black and white footage to about 10 metres. Night patrols, underground levels and unlit corridors all stay on camera.
Magnetic dock, no cables: Set the camera on the dock at shift end and it charges itself. Nothing to plug in at the end of a long night, and nothing to forget.
4K Ultra HD: 3840 x 2160 at 30fps, which leaves enough detail to identify a face or read a plate when you zoom into the footage afterwards.
140 degree lens: Holds a corridor end to end, a full entrance, and anyone approaching from the side rather than only what is directly ahead.
128GB internal memory: Covers a full shift at 4K with no cards to swap between rounds. When it fills, offload over USB or turn on loop recording.
Red and blue warning LEDs: Alarm lights on the camera body, visible during a confrontation, which is sometimes the thing that stops one.
36MP photo mode: Full resolution stills for documenting damage, capturing an ID or photographing a scene before it changes.
Built to take hits: IP65 against dust and water, and drop tested at 2 metres onto hard surfaces.

Applications

Real-World Scenarios

Night patrols

Car parks, loading docks and building perimeters, where lighting drops to nothing between poles. Six IR LEDs capture clear footage to about 10 metres in total darkness, and the 140 degree lens gets the full corridor in one frame instead of a slice of it.

Warehouse and site security

When stock goes missing between shifts, what you want is 4K footage of everything that happened, not a partial record. The magnetic dock keeps the camera charged between rounds, so it is ready without anyone remembering to plug it in.

Incident reporting

A report is stronger with evidence behind it. 4K video covers the incident, 36 megapixel stills document the aftermath, and every file is stamped automatically with date, time and User ID so the record is dated by the camera rather than by whoever writes it up.

How it Works

Secure it: Fix the camera to a vest or jacket with the rotatable back clip and set the angle before the shift starts.
Capture: One press starts 4K recording, and every clip gets a timestamp and User ID automatically. Night vision comes in on its own as the light drops.
Dock: Set the camera on the magnetic dock at shift end and it charges without a cable. Offload over USB when you need the files.
