At 85 g and 104 mm long, the VIM-POLICECAM12 is the smallest camera in this range, which is the specification that matters most across a shift spent on your feet.

It records 3840 x 2160 Ultra HD with a 36 megapixel sensor behind a 110 degree lens, onto 64GB of built in memory with loop recording. Six infrared LEDs give night vision to about 10 metres, and date, time and User ID are stamped into every file. The camera makes its own WiFi hotspot, so an Android or iOS phone connects directly to play back a recording or change settings without a router. IP54 and 2 metre shock rated, with up to 6 hours of recording at 1080p and a USB cable for charging.

How it Works

Wear it or mount it: Use the camera clip on clothing, the supplied lanyard around the neck, or the tripod when the camera needs to stay in one place. Set your User ID first so it stamps onto every file.
Record and check the screen: One press starts 4K recording to the 64GB of built in memory, with loop recording taking over when it fills. The small LCD confirms framing and lets you review clips in the field.
Connect a phone and recharge: Join the camera's WiFi hotspot from the app for playback and settings, and charge it on the USB cable at the end of the shift.
