The VIM-SECC pairs to your VIM alarm hub so a triggered sensor and the footage from the same moment land in one notification. It records Full HD 1920x1080 through a 2MP CMOS sensor and a 100 degree lens, sees to about eight metres in the dark on infrared, keeps recording to its own microSD card when the connection drops, and is IP66 rated for an outside wall.

The Driveway and Front Door

Most of what you want to see happens in the four metres between the footpath and your door.

Mounted two to five metres up under the eaves, the 100 degree lens covers the drive and the entry in one frame. Infrared night vision reaches about eight metres, which is the part of the driveway that matters after dark.

Verifying an Alarm Before You Act

A sensor triggers at three in the morning and you have to decide whether it is worth getting out of bed.

Because the camera is paired to the hub, the alert and the live view arrive together. You can look before you decide, rather than driving across town to find a possum on the deck.

A Site With Unreliable Internet

A yard, a workshop or a rural property where the connection drops more often than anyone admits.

Offline recording writes to the microSD card whether or not the network is up, so the footage still exists when the link comes back. The card takes up to 128GB.

How it Works

Mount the camera two to five metres up, run its 5V DC power adapter, and fit a microSD card of up to 128GB for local recording.
Program the WiFi from your phone, then pair the camera to the VIM alarm hub so it joins the same notification list as the sensors.
On motion, the camera records and the hub sends the alert to every paired phone, with live view available over P2P from anywhere.

Does the camera have its own SIM card?

No. The camera connects over 2.4GHz WiFi or its network port. If you need a mobile data path when the broadband is down, that comes from a 4G capable alarm hub, which is what relays the alert.

How far does the night vision reach?

Infrared covers about eight metres. Past that the image goes dark, so mount it to cover the approach rather than the whole section.

Can it record without internet?

Yes. Offline mode writes to the microSD card locally. The card slot takes up to 128GB.

Is it safe outdoors in New Zealand weather?
