Description

Somebody props a fire door open at the back of the building. Nothing is broken, nothing is forced, and a motion sensor in the middle of the room never sees it.

The VIM-WDSENSOR is a magnetic contact that alarms the moment the seal between the two halves breaks. It mounts to a door or window frame with brackets or tape, reaches the VIM-4GALARM hub from up to 150 metres, carries two way audio so you can listen before you act, and triggers if anyone tries to remove it.

An Office After Everyone Has Gone

The building empties at six and cleaners come and go until eight. After that, nobody should be opening anything.

Fit contacts to the external doors and the ground floor windows. If a seal breaks after the system is armed, the hub alerts you and the two way audio lets you listen in before deciding whether to call anyone out.

A Storeroom or Records Room

Some doors inside a building matter more than the front one.

Put a contact on the server room, the stock room or the filing room and arm those zones separately, so you get told about that specific door without arming the whole floor.

A Holiday Home or Sleepout

The 150 metre range reaches a hub in the main house from most sleepouts and garages, so an outbuilding joins the same alarm rather than needing its own system.

How it Works

Mount the larger sensor body on the frame and the magnetic probe on the moving door or window, close enough that they sit within a few millimetres when closed.
Pair the sensor to your VIM-4GALARM hub from the app and assign it to a zone.
Opening the door separates the magnet from the body, which sends a 433MHz alarm signal to the hub, and the hub notifies your phone and opens the two way audio channel.
