Description
Ten white floodlight LEDs reaching 50 metres is a lot of light for a 1.1kg camera, and it is the reason this one is worth mounting over a yard rather than a doorway: at night it produces a colour picture across the whole area instead of an infrared patch near the lens.
The VIM-4GSOL12 records 2K from a 2MP sensor on a PTZ head that pans 355 degrees and tilts 90 at 30 degrees a second. Infrared at 840nm covers 30 metres when you would rather not light the place up, and PIR detection reaches 12 metres across 120 degrees. Three 12000mAh cells are charged by a 6 Watt panel on a 3m lead, with a further 3m extension supplied, so the panel can be mounted well away from the camera. A 4G SIM connects it, a 128GB card is included, and the housing is IP66.
