Description

Thirty times optical zoom on a 4 to 141mm motorised lens, recording 4K continuously, on a camera that weighs a kilogram. The VIM-4GCAM30X4K is the mains powered long range option in this range.

A Sony IMX 8MP sensor records 3840x2160 through a PTZ head that pans 355 degrees and tilts 90 at up to 200 degrees a second, patrolling up to 16 preset points. AI detection covers people and vehicles out to 100 metres and zooms the lens onto the target. Infrared reaches 150 metres and a white floodlight triggers automatically. There is a siren, two way audio with an extended speaker jack, and password protected access. A 4G SIM connects it, storage is a microSD card up to 128GB, and it runs from a 12V 2A supply.

Features

4K ultra HD video clarity Capture detailed footage with 3840x2160p recording driven by an 8MP SONY IMX image sensor so faces, vehicles and number plates are easier to recognise.
30X PTZ optical zoom coverage Use the motorised pan, tilt and 30X zoom lens to move from a wide overview to close-up inspection of distant areas without losing clarity.
4G SIM connectivity and P2P access Insert a compatible 4G data SIM to monitor the camera remotely, view live video and replay recordings through the smartphone app using secure P2P streaming.
AI detection for people and vehicles Human and vehicle detection with AI tracking focuses alerts on real activity, helping the camera track and zoom to the subject while reducing false triggers.
Night vision and active lighting Infrared night vision and an automatically triggered white LED floodlight maintain visibility after dark and can help deter unwanted visitors on approach.
Two-way audio with external speaker A built-in microphone and extended speaker let you listen in and talk back through the camera so you can challenge intruders or guide visitors in real time.
Long-range detection coverage Motion detection up to 100m and infrared night vision up to 150m help the camera monitor wide open areas around your property.
Patrol and audible deterrence Auto cruising between preset points and an optional siren function let the camera patrol key zones and trigger an audible alert when needed.

Applications

Ideal Security Environments

This 4G PTZ camera suits homes, small businesses, farms and other outdoor sites that need reliable long-range coverage where wired networks are not practical. The combination of 30X zoom, 360° PTZ movement, 4K recording, AI human and vehicle detection, floodlight response and two-way audio makes it effective for monitoring driveways, yards, perimeters, machinery areas and car parks from a single mounting point.

How it Works

Mount it for the distance: At 185 by 93 by 62mm and 1kg it mounts easily, but 30X zoom needs an unobstructed line to be worth having. Run the 12V 2A adapter to it.
Insert a data SIM: 4G on bands B1 to B40 with a Spark, One NZ or 2degrees data SIM. Viewing works from Windows, iOS, Android and the major browsers.
Set AI detection and patrol: Human and vehicle detection zooms and tracks automatically. Save up to 16 preset points for auto cruise and choose motion, scheduled or 24/7 recording.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I connect the camera when there is no fixed internet?

Insert a compatible 4G data SIM card and activate it, then use the mobile app to add the camera and stream live video over the 4G network.

Can this camera record continuously as well as on motion?

Yes. The system supports 24/7 continuous recording and can also use its motion detection and AI tracking to focus on activity as it occurs.

What kind of detail can I expect from the 30X zoom?

The 30X optical zoom lets you start with a wide overview and then zoom in on distant people, vehicles or gates while maintaining 4K clarity.

Does the camera capture usable footage at night?

Infrared night vision provides coverage in low light, and the automatic white LED floodlight can turn on with motion to improve colour detail and act as a deterrent.

Where is video footage stored?

You can store recordings locally on a compatible memory card in the camera and access live and recorded footage remotely through the smartphone application.
