Description
Twelve months of standby from a 2800mAh cell is the number that makes this camera different. It sleeps on a PIR sensor that reaches 20 metres and only wakes to record, which is how a 127 gram camera covers a gate or a shed for a year.
The VIM-4GMINICAM3 records 1920x1080 from a 2MP sensor through a 3.6mm lens with a 120 degree view. Night recording uses 940nm infrared to about 5 metres, which adds no visible light to the scene. A 4G SIM from Spark, One NZ or 2degrees is the only connection needed, footage goes to a microSD card up to 128GB or the cloud, and two way audio works through the app. Continuous recording runs up to 60 hours, or indefinitely on the DC 5V supply. The IP66 body is 38 by 42 by 57mm.
