Description

A construction site loses power at the end of every stage, and the fibre never arrives at all. That is the problem this camera is built around: it carries its own 60 Watt panel and battery, and it reaches you over the mobile network instead of a router.

The VIM-4G74 records 2560x1920 from a 5MP sensor and pulls detail out of the far corner of a yard with 20X optical zoom. The PTZ head pans 355 degrees, human detection wakes it, and auto tracking keeps a person centred while it records to a microSD card. Infrared reaches 50 metres after dark, and a white floodlight switches the picture to full colour when you want faces rather than shapes.

How it Works

Mount and angle the panel: Fix the camera to a pole, wall or perimeter fence and point the 60 Watt panel at open sky. The battery carries the camera overnight, so there is no trenching and no mains lead.
Insert a data SIM: Fit a SIM from Spark, One NZ or 2degrees. The camera joins 4G on bands B1 through B40 and pairs to the app, so no broadband is needed on site.
Watch, steer and record: Pan, tilt and zoom from your phone, take a push alert when human detection fires, and let auto tracking follow the target while footage is written to a microSD card up to 128GB.
