Can this security camera see at night?

Yes. The camera uses 940 nm infrared LEDs that see up to 6 to 8 metres in zero light. The IR is invisible to the human eye. No visible signal appears on the camera body when night mode activates, so the camera stays discreet at night.

Does the camera need WiFi to work?

Yes for remote viewing. The camera connects to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network for live streaming and remote access through the smartphone app. It will record locally to a microSD card without WiFi, but you cannot view the feed remotely until WiFi is reconnected.

Can I mount this camera concealed?

The 4.3 × 3.5 × 1.7 cm cube form fits on shelves, behind decor, or under brackets. The included mounting kit supports flat-surface, wall, and ceiling/flip installation. The lens is visible up close, but the camera is small enough to be unobtrusive in commercial settings.

Does it support two-way audio?

No. The camera has a built-in microphone only. Audio from the room is captured in the recording, but you cannot speak through the camera. If two-way talkback matters for your deployment, this camera will not cover that use case.

Is this legal to use in offices?

Legal on property you own or have authorised access to. Recording in private spaces like bathrooms or changing rooms is illegal in New Zealand. Workplace monitoring is governed by the Privacy Act 2020 and the Employment Relations Act 2000, so check what applies before deployment in employee areas.
