A pinhole lens on a WiFi camera you can watch live from a phone, with motion alerts and local live view when you are on the same network. It records to a microSD card in the unit, so there is no subscription and no cloud account needed.

Features

Live view from the app: A real time feed on iPhone or Android, with settings you can change without going back to the camera. Local live view works while you are on the same network.
PIR motion alerts: A passive infrared sensor triggers on body heat and pushes a notification, so you look when something happens rather than watching a feed.
Night recording: Infrared covers 3 to 5m and records a dark room without adding any visible light to it.
Continuous or motion clips: Choose full time capture or motion triggered clips, with loop recording keeping the newest footage on the card.
Records while charging: A 5000mAh cell runs it cordless and it keeps recording on the 5V 2A supply, so there is no gap while it tops up.
Seven days armed, seven months on standby: Armed and watching on the PIR sensor, the cell runs for up to seven days. Sitting in standby rather than watching, it holds a charge for up to seven months.
Vibration triggering: Recording can also start on vibration, which catches a door or a drawer being opened before anything crosses the lens.

Does it record only on motion?

You can choose motion activated recording through the PIR sensor, or continuous capture with loop overwrite. Motion triggering is what makes the longer runtimes possible.

How long will the battery last?

There are three figures because there are three states. Recording continuously, the 5000mAh cell gives about 8 to 10 hours. Armed on the PIR sensor and waking only for movement, it lasts up to seven days. Left in standby rather than watching, it holds a charge for up to seven months. It also records while charging, so a 5V 2A supply removes the limit entirely.

What storage cards are supported?

microSD up to 128GB, not included, for local storage on the device with no cloud account involved.

Is night recording possible?

Yes. Infrared covers about 3 to 5 metres and records a dark room without adding any visible light to it.

What can I lawfully record with a camera like this in New Zealand?

You can record a space you own or control for your own security: your own home, a home office, a shop counter, a warehouse you run or the inside of your own vehicle.
