The VIM-USBCAM4 is a 75 x 25 x 9mm recorder in a USB stick body, 23 grams, with a noise reducing microphone that is the reason to choose it over the other USB models: it is built around getting clear speech as well as picture.

It records Full HD 1920 x 1080p with audio, supports motion triggered and loop recording, and stamps each file with the date and time. One button drives it. The 360mAh cell gives about two hours, and the card slot takes up to 128GB.

No. We have confirmed this with the manufacturer: it is an offline recorder. There is no WiFi, no app and no live streaming in it, whatever the older product name suggests. It records to the card and you read the card afterwards. If you want live view on your phone, choose a model whose WiFi is stated in the specification.

Bathrooms and changing areas are out entirely, and intimate visual recording is an offence under the Crimes Act 1961. Audio is treated more strictly than video throughout.
