The VIM-BAGCAM is a polyurethane waist bag, 310 x 140mm and 210 grams, with a WiFi camera built into the body and room inside for a power bank. That last part is the design decision that matters: runtime is whatever you put in the bag.

It streams 3840 x 2160p live to an Android or iOS app and records 1920 x 1080p to a microSD card up to 128GB. Motion detection pushes a notification when something moves in frame. Worn, it records forward as you walk; set down, it works as an ordinary fixed camera.

Is the 4K figure the recording quality?

No. Live streaming is up to 3840 x 2160p and recordings are saved at 1920 x 1080p to the card. The sharper picture is what you watch, the smaller file is what you keep.

How long will it run?

That depends on what you put in it. The bag is designed to carry a power bank, so runtime is set by the pack you choose rather than by a sealed cell.

Where does it point?

Do I have to use the cloud?

Can I record with this legally in New Zealand?

Set down as a fixed camera it needs to be a place you own or control, and the Privacy Act 2020 expects you to tell the people who live or work there. Bathrooms, changing areas and anywhere else with a reasonable expectation of privacy are out entirely, and intimate visual recording is an offence under the Crimes Act 1961. Audio is treated more strictly than video throughout.
