The VIM-BUTCAM3 is a 26 x 18 x 8mm camera weighing 12g on the end of a 145cm lead, finished as a clothing button. It has no battery of its own: the lead runs to a standard power bank or to the supplied New Zealand wall outlet, which is what lets it record around the clock rather than for a couple of hours.

It records 1280 x 960 as AVI with audio from a built in microphone, with a time stamp on every frame and a picture mode for stills. Everything runs from one switch. Cards up to 128GB are supported, formatted FAT32 at 64GB and above, and a USB card adapter is supplied for copying files off.

How it Works

Fit and format a card: Slide in a microSD card up to 128GB. At 64GB and above it must be formatted FAT32, and the supplied USB adapter handles that on any computer.
Connect it to power: Plug the 145cm lead into a standard power bank, sold separately, or into the supplied New Zealand wall outlet. There is no internal battery to charge.
Use the switch: One switch starts and stops video, and the picture mode takes stills. Copy the AVI files off with the supplied card adapter when you are done.

How do I format the card?
