Description
Most miniature cameras assume there is a WiFi network within reach. In a lock up garage, a shipping container or a shed at the back of a section there usually is not, which is where a camera with its own SIM earns its place.
The VIM-4GV89 is a two part kit: a 53.5 by 45 by 18.5mm 4G recorder and a pinhole lens module on a 2m cable, so the lens can go where the view is while the recorder sits out of the way. A Sony IMX323 sensor records 1920x1080 through a 3.7mm lens with a 90 degree field of view, saving to a microSD card up to 256GB, which holds roughly ten days of footage. Motion detection sends a push alert to your phone. The internal 1000mAh cell runs it for about four hours, and it records continuously when plugged into the DC adapter or a power bank.
