This long range solar camera system connects four cameras to a single WiFi hub at up to 500m in open areas, and each camera runs on its own solar panel, so there are no power or data cables to run across the site.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this system need WiFi or internet?

Yes. The hub connects to your home router by ethernet cable or over WiFi, and it then extends the signal wirelessly to all four cameras. You need an internet connection at the hub location for remote app access and alerts.

How far can the cameras be from the hub?

Up to 500 metres in open areas with line of sight. Walls, dense trees and metal structures reduce that. In a suburban setting with moderate obstacles, expect 200 to 300m.

Is the hub an NVR? Does it record?

No. The hub is a relay station. It bridges your router's signal out to the cameras across long distances, and each camera records independently to its own micro SD card (up to 128GB, sold separately). Optional cloud storage is available through the app.

Do I need to buy SD cards separately?

Yes. No micro SD cards are included in the kit. Each camera supports up to 128GB, and we recommend one card per camera for local recording.

Does it record at night?

Yes. Each camera has infrared LEDs for black and white night vision and white LEDs for colour night vision, and it switches between the two automatically.

Is it hard to install?

No. One-key pairing connects each camera to the hub, and the hub plugs into your router or joins your WiFi. Mount the cameras and solar panels with the included brackets and screws. There is no wiring between any of the components.
