The VIM-HCAM4 is a wall mounted air freshener housing with a camera inside. It runs either from mains power for continuous recording or from its internal battery when there is no socket where you want it, which is the flexibility that makes it worth choosing.

It records 1920 x 1080 at 25fps through a 60 degree lens onto a microSD card up to 128GB, and joins your WiFi router so you can watch live and get motion alerts on Android or iOS. Wall mounting accessories are supplied.

You can record a space you own or control. Your own house, your own office or shop, a stockroom, a garage or a holiday house are all ordinary lawful uses and they are what this is sold for. The limits are worth setting up correctly from the start. The Privacy Act 2020 expects people to be told when a space is being recorded, so a notice at the entrance is the usual answer for any area that staff, visitors or contractors use. Bathrooms, changing areas and bedrooms are off limits, and intimate visual recording is an offence under the Crimes Act 1961.
